Recommended Personal Gears List

In preparation of the trip, participants are advised to bring the following items:

VALID INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT - Must have a validity period until 18 May 2010 or after) **Passports will be kept by your teachers upon our arrival at Bangkok.

RECOMMENDED PERSONAL GEARS LIST:

- CCA Uniform (Scout & Brownie Members to put on their Uniform when we report at Terminal 2 for departure) *Red-cross members, do check with your teacher IC.
- Additional scarves (about 3-5 pcs) may be required for exchange.
- Scout Cap/ Hat
- Spectacles Back-straps (for those wearing spectacles)
- Sun-glasses (if any)
- 1 Set of School Uniform (with white/or sport shoes)
- 2-4 T-shirts (to include School/and a Red-coloured T-shirt for performances)
- 2-3 Shorts
- Undergarments (preferably disposable)
- 2-3 pair socks
- Good pair of sports shoes (Scouts to wear black shoe when in uniform)
- 1 pair of sandals (slippers) - for use after dinner/shower
- 2 Long trousers/track pant (to be used for outdoor activity)
- Rain-coat/ poncho
- Body Powder
- Toiletries (body shower cream, shampoo, tooth-brush, toothpaste, toilet roll etc)
- 1 Bath Towel
- 2 Face Towel (for activity wipes)
- 3 (Big) Zip-log disposable plastic bags (for placing dirty linens)
- Scout Song Book & Writing Material
- Torchlight - to bring extra batteries)
- Personal First Aid Kit (Handy plaster, insect repellent, antiseptic cream etc.)
- Personal Medication (must be directed by parent/or next-of-kin such as panadol, inhaler etc)
- Water-bottle with strap/or slings (1 litre - no need to fill up water)

MUST BRING ITEMS WITHOUT FAIL
- 2 Home-stay Gifts (worth $10 each) for host buddy and family.
- 10-15 novelty souvenirs (key chains, book-marks, coins etc)
- 30-40pcs Personal designed name-cards (to include School name, name, email/MSN/Facebook address, home address and your photo on it)

PERSONAL NEEDS
- Thai Bahts (Currency) about THB2000-2500 (equilavent to SIN$100)
- Disposable/or Digital Camera (if any)
- Personal thermometer (for tempperature checks)
- Waist Pouch (to contain personal frequently used items such as wallet, medication, etc) *TO INCLUDE A PHOTOCOPY OF YOUR INTERNATIONAL PASSPORT PERSONALS PAGE.

ALL BELONGINGS SHOULD BE PACKED INTO A MEDIUM-SIZE LUGGAGE & A BACKPACK (Haversack).

THE DO's & DON'NT
NO OTHER HAND-HELD ITEMS (such as plastic bags etc )ARE ALLOWED
.

No Lighter or pen-knife will be allowed as stringent airport checks will be conducted
All items should be waterproofed (if possible)

If you have any solution-based items such as Shampoo, Shower Cream or etc - please ensure that they are bottled under 100ml containers and placed into a tight-fitting zip-log bag.

For those wearing spectacles, do have spectacle straps in place.

As part of our precautionary measures to minimise H1N1 exposure, please note that daily temperature takings will be conducted.

Do not bring valuable items such as game gadgets, MP3, DVD player etc. Tit-bits such as chocolate or candy which can attract ants are strongly discouraged.
